Remove Empty Fields

The Remove Empty Fields button helps clean up generated notes by removing fields that do not contain meaningful visit information.

How To Hide Empty Fields

1. Open the generated note in the note editing screen
2. Click Remove Empty Fields in the bottom-right corner
3. Review the cleaned-up note
4. Use Undo or Redo if you want to revert or reapply the change

How It Works

Scribe removes rows where the AI field value is empty or N/D. Rows with clinical details or custom default values remain in the note.

When To Use It

Use Remove Empty Fields when a generated note includes many template sections that were not discussed during the visit.

For example, if a template includes fields for allergies, medications, TMJ, sleep apnea, or home care, and some of those topics were not mentioned, Scribe can remove those empty sections from the note.

Removing empty fields only cleans up the note content. It does not change the original template or affect future notes.
